Day 01
Welcome to Colombo! Our representative will meet you at the Bandaranaike International Airport and then you’ll be escorted to your vehicle to begin your holiday in Sri Lanka with transfer to Kandy.
Lying amidst the hills, Kandy is the last capital of the ancient kings of Sri Lanka. While being the second largest city in Sri Lanka it is also famous for its immense beauty and is named as one of the seven UNESCO declared World Heritage sites in the country. Enroute while travelling from Colombo to Kandy we will Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage & Spice Garden. Volunteers and caretakers provide shelter and take care of orphaned, abandoned and injured elephants within the park. You can watch caretakers feed, bathe and help these gentle giants. You want walk with the herd to the nearby river to watch the elephants bathe and play around in water. Spice Gardens shapes a key fascination with Sri Lanka. The nation is well known over the world for its uncommon accumulation of spices and herbs. The key fascination of this area is to investigate the famous and additionally the unusual herbs being are prepared in the most stunning way. Herbs those are regular in a family unit like Peppercorns, Turmeric, Cardamom, Cloves, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Vanilla, Aloe Vera, Cocoa, and so on are being handled here.
Day 02
After enjoying a hearty breakfast, you will proceed to enjoy Kandy City Tour. Start your journey from one of the world heritages as well as a sacred place for the Buddhists all over the world; namely the Temple of tooth Relic known to the Sri Lankans as Dalada Maligawa. Your next visit will be to the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens which is a paradise for nature lovers. This beautiful flower Eden is restored with over 300 different varieties of orchids, other spices, medicinal plants and Palm trees. Every year more than 1.2 million people are enchanted by the beauty of these 147 acre flower gardens. The real evidence of the richness will be affirmed by your visit to the Gem Museum. Sri Lanka produces the finest quality of gems in the world. Semi-precious gems, the sapphires of Sri Lanka, which are very exclusive and comes in shades of blue, red, green, white etc. After your journey you will drop to Hotel safely. Dress Code for Temple: Wear clothes that cover your legs and your shoulders, and remove your shoes outside the temple. Evening we visit Kandy Cultural Show which depicts various forms of Kandyan dancing which was once native to the area but has now spread to different regions of the island
Day 03
After breakfast we visit Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. Started in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the Kings of Gampola and Kandy. There are more than 4,000 species of trees, plants and creepers. Some rare and endemic as well as flora from the tropical world are found in the gardens. Spice Garden and Orchid House are popular with tourists. There are 5 Palm Avenues beautifying the gardens, the earliest and tallest Palm Avenue (Royal Palm Avenue) was planted in 1905 and the Double Coconuts from the Seashells Island, with the largest seed of all plants in the world is one such avenue. Next we proceed to Nuwara Eliya where enroute we Visit Ramboda Hanuman Temple (subject to temple timing), Tea Plantation & Ramboda Falls. Afternoon we arrive in Nuwara Eliya, also known as “Little England” of Sri Lanka. In evening we will proceed for an excursion to Gregory Lake where we will also enjoy boat ride on the lake
Day 04
Breakfast at Hotel & Proceed to Bentota. Enroute we have opportunity to witness St Claire Falls & Devon Falls. St. Clair’s Falls is one of the widest waterfalls in Sri Lanka and is commonly known as the “Little Niagara of Sri Lanka”. Devon Falls, known as the ‘Veil of the Valley’, is a waterfall in Sri Lanka, situated 6 km west of Talawakele, Nuwara Eliya District on the A7 highway. The falls is named after a pioneer English coffee planter called Devon, whose plantation was situated nearby the falls. Afternoon arrive in Bentota. Bentota provides the perfect turf for unfurled vacation at the beach. While enjoying the sun, sea and sand the beach lovers can enroll themselves in various water sports bringing in the unique pleasure of this locale
Day 05
After enjoying a hearty breakfast, start your journey towards Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery. The Turtle Hatchery is the prime turtle nesting site which was open by the Wild life Protection Society in 1981. Here you can see huge tanks filled with new born turtle hatchlings. After being fed, the baby turtles are taken to the sea and released when they are 2-4 days old, usually during the safer hours of darkness. After your journey you will drop to Hotel safely. Afternoon we proceed to enjoy (optional) Water Sport Activities such as Jet Ski, Banana Boat Ride & Tube Ride. Bentota provides the perfect turf for unfurled vacation at the beach. While enjoying the sun, sea and sand the beach lovers can enroll themselves in various water sports bringing in the unique pleasure of this locale
Day 06
Proceed to Colombo (Travel time approx: 02hrs). Colombo – a drive through the city taking you to the busy commercial areas as well as the tree-lined residential, Cinnamon Gardens. Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street – the Goldsmith’s quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749. Also visit the BMICH, see the replica of Avukana Buddha & the Independence Square. Later we proceed for Shopping in Colombo. Visit ODEL which provides unlimited ample opportunity indulge, not only in shopping for designer wear apparel for the whole family, but also take taste buds on a voyage of discovery
